Plantar Fasciitis Diagnosis & Treatment

Home Remedies For Bacterial Vaginosis

Plantar fasciitis, the most common cause of heel pain, is the inflammation and tearing of the fascia, a ligament on the bottom of the foot. It is classically knkown as causing pain at the inside of the heel at the first step in the morning. Plantar fascitis is caused by abnormal foot mechanics in combination with poor quality shoes and overuse. Conservative treatments for plantar fasciitis include resting, icing, stretching, heel lifts, heel cups, weight loss, supportive shoes, orthotics and night splints.

Just been diagnosed with this and yes it hurts. It seems to effect the whole foot. Does it also make your foot/ankle click as well as I’ve noticed a clicking sound from my foot when I move it back and forth?

I suffer from this. It’s like Hell on Earth!

I used stretches described in the book “Injury Afoot: 30 Things You Can Do to Relieve Plantar Fasciitis,” sold on Amazon. It’s full of easy-to-understand suggestions. Also, I used cold packs regularly. Both of my feet had plantar fasciitis before, and now it’s pretty much gone.
Also, don’t accept cortisone shots or have surgery for P.F. Conservative therapy is all you should need.

Podiatrist wrapped my foot for a week and I took Naproxene. I also bought a footlog from a running store to roll my foot over and massage the tendon. Then I bought a thick rubber mat to skip rope on. I hurt my foot this time from skipping on cement. Feels better now. Good luck.

Great video. Very informative. I guess I need to invest in a quality pair of orthodics and keep doing the stretch exercises.

Great video. I had this 10 years ago and now it’s back again. I went for a long walk last night and now I’m limping all over my house. I’m going to use your suggestions.

  19. TheAnnexGal says:

@naxps – that’s what my PF was like when it first hit, and it got worse and worse until I started to treat it. I’m on month three and the PF is still there… hopefully, it’ll continue to get better…

I also suffer from it, and it’s horrible. You can’t do anything if it hurts, just lay on the couch..

  23. wiks5 says:

All this made my condition worse, if you have severe plantar fasciitis do not stretch or massage it, you’ll only make it worse. This is the only thing that helped my chronic form of this condition: heel pain clinic in north sydney

  24. mettabee says:

what if the tearing pain is along the entire length, is that still FP or something else?

  25. GAEUL1985 says:

i dont know if i got this, but for like 3 mths now, this part of my heel hurts alot after long hours of standing or walking. and i have to sit and when I press on the spot, it’s extremely sore and painful. It’s near the end of my sole (heel) and my left leg. It really hurts like hell sometimes.
